Stopped writing on here after that little stint because it is effort and sitting down to write a meaningful thought is tricky! I still enjoy voicing random thoughts and feelings I have (maybe I should talk to real people more) so I was doing that over Twitter (not connecting that to this). But anyways, I started to notice that I was addicted to heavily scrolling Twitter and being corrupted by the hate inducing content that plagues the platform.

So, I have been detoxing from the app on my phone and also blocked on my home internet (DNS level) for about 24 hours now, and the effects are noticeable.

I find myself reaching for my phone to start scrolling all the time. Before this was just a habit that resulted in quick dopamine hits. Now that this is a lingering habit with no benefit, I feel absolutely ridiculous every time I grab my phone out of instinct. Some of my earlier big posts were about being unable to truly disconnect, and that is held true here. If it were possible for me to completely halt my phone usage, I would go WEEKS without contact. Pure wilderness with no phone at all? EPIC!

Alas, to uphold the lifestyle I enjoy, sacrifices must be made. My autistic and downright retarded social behaviors will never heal!
